Data Deletion
This page explains how to disconnect Instagram from the Juno service operated by HOOKBOOK INC, doing business as Juno Labs, and how to request deletion of data associated with that connection. For our full privacy practices, see the Privacy Policy.
1. How to disconnect Instagram
You can stop Juno from accessing your Instagram account in either place:
- In Juno: Sign in at junolabs.io, go to Dashboard → Social Accounts, open the account menu, and choose Disconnect. Disconnecting unlinks your Instagram account and stops Juno from using the connection for future access, syncing, or publishing.
- In Meta / Instagram settings: Open Instagram or Meta Accounts Center, find apps and websites connected to your account, and remove Juno. That revokes access from Meta’s side.
Disconnecting stops future access. It does not by itself permanently erase imported posts, media, or analysis already saved in your Juno workspace. Use the deletion steps below if you want that data removed.
2. How to request deletion
You can request deletion in either of these ways:
- In the product (Instagram channel data): Sign in, go to Dashboard → Social Accounts, open the account menu for the connected Instagram account, and choose Delete. This removes that channel and its imported post history from the workspace.
- By email (full account deletion, or help with a request): Email team@junolabs.io. Include the email address on your Juno account and, if relevant, the Instagram username you connected. Tell us whether you want (a) Instagram-connected data only, or (b) your full Juno account deleted.
3. What Juno deletes
When we process an Instagram data deletion request, we delete:
- OAuth access tokens and connection credentials for that account
- Imported Instagram posts, captions, downloaded media and thumbnails, embeddings, and related AI analysis tied to that connection
- Social account records for that connection when you delete the channel in product or request a full erase of the channel
An Instagram data deletion request still removes imported Instagram data and associated analysis from shared workspaces. If you request full account deletion, we delete your Juno account profile and personal data. Independently owned content in shared workspaces that other authorized members still own or use (and that is not the Instagram-connected data being deleted) may be retained for those members; we remove or restrict your access and delete data that is solely yours, unless a workspace owner asks us to delete shared content as well.
We may retain limited information when required by law, and retention of Meta-connected data follows applicable platform requirements (for example security or billing records we are legally required to keep).
4. Expected deletion timeline
After we verify your request, we complete deletion of the applicable data within 30 days. We may request reasonable information to verify ownership of the account or connection. If a permitted delay applies, we will notify you. Copies in backups may persist for a limited period until those backups rotate or are purged in the ordinary course.
